Racks, Decaleurs, Mudguards...
...cables and calipers have all arrived from Velo Orange.
Along with a re-stock of the usual suspects (bars, stems, headsets, levers, rims, pedals...) we’ve got some great new items from VO - namely the Porteur front rack modelled on the style used by Parisian delivery bikes and the slender Constructeur rear rack for carrying anything from panniers to a box of fairy cakes. We also have some stainless steel Decaleurs for your traditional style handlebar bag - in both headset and stem mount applications. All are a nod to the famous constructeurs in style and erm, construction...
There’s a couple of new VO mudguards in stock too - 45mm Hammered and 52mm ‘Zeppelin’, the latter fashioned in Art Deco-style and is stunning to look at.
Finally we have received some braking upgrades with the hand-polished, super stiff and super tasty Grand Cru Long Reach Calipers. Retailing for twice the price in Japan, these dual pivot brakes out-powered all long reach brakes and quite a few short reach ones in a recent test - they weigh 355g for the pair including fixings and pads too. We’ve also received the amazingly good value stainless steel braided cable kits for brakes and gears - there’s a road or MTB end so just snip off the one you don’t need. Included in each pack are braided housings, pre-stretched cables, ferrules and end crimps - all for £8!
