Jack Jones (17”)

Yep, it’s Jeff Jones little brother (sitting in the corner all by himself...)

Its a bit of a work in progress this one, hence the slightly un-freshtripe zip ties (and those mis-matched valve caps, eh...) but its too exciting not to share, even in its unfinished state!

Having followed the work on the Oregon-based master for a while, we thought it would be fun to attempt a build based on his principles of a non-suspended bicycle. So we have a forgiving steel frame (saracen kili pro) and fork (kona project 2), wide rims (sun mammoth), fat tyres (bontrager big earl’s) and, of course, one of those fan-dangled h-bars (in the more affordable titec flavour!)

Early days yet, but it seems a super-comfy ride, a decent handler and a very confident downhiller.

A stern test of its climbing abilities coming soon...
