Conceived as a “canal basher” for riding along the Kennet and Avon, this bike was built to last with a steel On-One frameset, Chris King Headset, LeVeL Fixed Wheel Hubs, RaceFace Components and DT Ceramic Rims. Unusually it also managed the double-whammy of being uber-lightweight (around 21lb-ish).

 

After a few near misses, I decided that riding a fixed-wheel bike off-road was for someone whose levels of skill / bravery / stupidity far exceeded my own. The On-One was eventually bought by Andrew Welch (clearly all of the above), who wanted a low maintenance bike to ride around the world!
